This complete fossil pig skull of Kolpochoerus hesloni which was found by Lawrence Nzuve in Area 105 in 2006 on the east side of Lake Turkana. Kolpochoerus is characterised by the distinct and wide zygomatic arches that protrude below the eyes. This specimen has its complete dentition preserved including the two upper canines. The cheek teeth of this pig resemble those of the modern bushpig in both size and shape. Kolpochoerus has a long temporal range (3.26-0.7 million years) and has a wide geographic distribution.
