This specimen is a right mandible with lower P4 to M3. It was found in Area 105 by Solomon Aila. Three species of Giraffa are known from the Turkana Basin. Giraffa jumae is the largest, Giraffa stillei is intermediate and Giraffa pygmaea is the smallest. Girraffa stillei is more common than the other two in the fossil record although there is no known skull of this species from this area.
